Yes, Meteor is completely free for customers to use. Unlike other savings platforms we don’t charge our customers any fees, nor do we take a share of the interest that banks pass to us across our fixed term deposits and notice accounts.
Yes, all eligible deposits are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000 per banking group.
Money not deposited into a savings product can be returned to your bank within one business day. Money deposited into a savings account will vary depending on the type of savings account it is in. Withdrawals can be made from an Easy Access account within one business day, whereas you’ll need to give the relevant notice to withdraw from a Notice Account. Withdrawals cannot be made from a Fixed Term Deposit, with your money being returned on maturity only.
